Teaching
The artists at The Workshop Studio share a wide range of practical skills as can be seen by the diversity of works that we make. Several of us have considerable teaching experience at all levels. On-going critical dialogue about our practice is an essential aspect of the collective studio experience. We hope to share some of the richness and insights of this experience with others through our teaching.
We plan to use our great new space, NUMBER 38, to run short art courses in different subject areas including painting, drawing, strategies for making performance work, digital photography and 3D work. The courses will be focused on developing practical skills but with a theoretical underpinning in a professional, friendly and supportive environment. We also offer one-to-one tuition and portfolio preparation advice for those wishing to progress to further study.
We hope that the learning experience that we can offer, within the context of this vibrant working professional artists' studio will offer a level of art dialogue that is informed, relevant and tailor made to the needs of the individual student regardless of their previous level of learning.
